On my valley farm where all the ground was fall chisel plowed my corn rows are uneven in height. On the hill farm I no tilled and have no issues. I plant about 2"s deep and use a 7200 Deere planter with liquid starter at about 9 gallons per acre. I was having problems with my fertilizer openers getting plugged up from what I found later to be bad fertilizer tubes. The dirt on the openers would harden like concrete and you could hardly turn them. Is the placement of the starter a possible culprit in this and will the corn snap out of it or has some of the corn just not reached the starter. There is no yellowing to the corn just some rows shorter than the others. Twogun
