70 ft. Seedmaster toolbar - downpressure problems

Hey,

Longtime lurker, first time poster. Anyone else ever run into an issue with downpressure on their Seedmaster's shanks?

We're running a JD 9630T on a 70 ft. Seedmaster toolbar with a 1910 JD commodity cart (hydraulic metering), with a 1665 Valmar for inoculant application. The hydraulic block on the drill shows our system pressure is consistently 2500 psi, and when we drop the shanks, it says we're getting 1200 psi downpressure, everything as it should be. For some reason, the shanks seem to ride up and out of the dirt, and we're just scattering seed on the ground. System pressure, downpressure stays the same on the gauges.

Anybody else encounter anything like this? JD techs have spent hours out here trying everything they can do with the hydraulic flow from the tractor. We're thinking it has to be something in the block on the drill, restricting flow, or giving false readings, we don't know. Seedmaster reps say they're looking into it with engineering and will get back to us ASAP, but we're already over 1000 acres behind!

Hope everyone else's season is starting off better.
