Flax on canola stubble?

I know this has been asked before but has anyone grown flax on canola stubble? I know it's not recommended but we have a field which we sprayed in fall with round up and vertical tilled which buried the trash nicely. We were planning peas but it was too wet. I hate the thought of growing wheat there. I hate the thought of wheat period! Any thoughts would be great, If we do it I would up the phos and seeding rate a bit. Thanks
