"Hypothetical" situation:
Lets say a fire department was paged for a vehicle fire, very close to a residence at 5:00 p.m. All volunteer department and one guy was responding in personal vehicle to station. Lets say this guy was doing close to 80 mph in a 55 mph zone. Two cars were in front which subsequently pulled over for dash lights. Lets say a police officer came up behind this guy in a fully marked car with top lights, probably doing 100-120 mph, and was waved around by the fireman, however, the fireman did not slow down or pull over to let the cop pass.
Cop logic is I am an emergency vehicle you need to stop and pull over to get out of my way.
Fireman says it is a vehicle fire/possible residential fire. You can't do anything when you get there anyway. Go ahead a pass me, but I am not slowing down.
Lets here your opinions!
Lets see what you guys think!
