Seed treatment question

I'm fed up with using that pink gooey seed treatment. Raxil pro, vita flow , it's all the same. I have a tank strapped to the air cart auger which breaks my back lifting it back on the cradle, if the seed runs out and I scramble back down the ladder the flighting is flinging pink stuff all over me and my truck.
My question is this stuff really necessary on cereals ?
How do you manage this situation ?
