I have a Versatile 555 (open center hydraulics) that I am going to be using on a small older Morris 6130 air seeder.
I have done this successfully with my open center Steiger using a different flow control than I am using this time.
The Versatile tractor puts out 2300 psi at 23 GPM which is more than enough for the air seeder.
The airseeder requires 13 GPM at max speed at 2000 psi
I bought an adjustable flow control for the tractor to be able to dial in the fan speed on the air seeder cart.
The flow control is capable of 30 GPM - more than enough for what I'm doing. http://ift.tt/1b2BB6t
My question is this:
The tractor's relief valve is set to 2300 psi (or a touch higher), the air seeder cart requires 2000 psi, and the flow control's relief is factory set at 1500 psi.
What do I need to set the relief valve on the flow control to? Or should I take it back and get one without a relief valve since it will be protected by the tractor's relief?
I want to generate as little excess heat as possible.
