Just wondering what the hydro drive system on a R80 discbine or the like have been standing up? What's the good bad and ugly of these systems?
Reason I ask is I'm considering building a front mount discbine and I don't have a tractor with front pto. I know it would be the way to go but not in the budget right now and very few triple mowers have rolls. I do mostly alfalfa and have heard of too much damage with impellers. There aren't any in my area. So I've never seen it in person. Was considering mounting a NH 1431 or 1441 up front and pulling my existing 1441.
Any thoughts or ideas?
